The operation takes about 1 hour and the patient is discharged a few hours after the operation. The patient can step on his foot after surgery and drive after 3 days. Sport is an activity that increases the organic resistance of the body, improves the physiological capacity of the systems, maintains and maintains this capacity. Crooked legs, functional disorders caused by inequality between the legs, short stature are orthopedic problems that can be treated by the Ilizarov method today. Thanks to this method, which has been successfully applied in the orthopedics and Traumatology Departments of IstHealth Health Group, the difference in length in the legs can be equated with brevity compensation, shortening of the long leg and lengthening of the short leg. Ilizarav method is also successfully applied in the treatment of soft tissue loss, curvatures and brevity caused by boiling in bone fractures.

What Is The Ilizarov Method?
It is a system that can give controlled movement to bone fragments with the help of hinges and rods (rods), in which bones are detected by thin wires and circles. Surgical interventions can be applied to child or adult patients with arm and leg disparities that develop after congenital diseases, bone loss and trauma (such as premature closure of growth cartilage). In this process, a low-energy fracture is created in the bone and gradually extended (1mm / day). An extension of up to 80% of the original length of the bone can be achieved in the Extension zone. In parallel with the implant technology developed in appropriate cases, the use of alternative new techniques and technology to ilizarov technique is also carried out.
