Digital images obtained from systems that work entirely with digital technology are archived in a digital environment. More detail in the image obtained in the conventional method, the review period is shorter, more adequate images can be obtained in the diagnosis by experienced specialists in special workstations and these images are examined.

The technological systems in our radiology department are as follows:

Direct radiography systems + panoramic X-ray + CR technology,

Digital fluoroscopy,

Digital mammography, tomosynthesis, stereotactic vacuum biopsy device,

Ultrasonography + Doppler Ultrasonography,

Multi detector Computed Tomography (256 section flash CT),

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (1.5 tesla),

Digital angiography (DSA),

Interventional Radiology,

PACS (image archiving and communication system)

Panoramic and direct radiological examinations are as follows:

All direct graphs are obtained digitally with CR systems. All kinds of routine direct graphs and special direct examinations such as scoliosis, orthorontgenography, panoramic graph and cephalometry are performed. In addition, portable radiography services are provided to our inpatient patients in the hospital when deemed necessary.

Digital Fluoroscopy Reviews

Further examinations such as all types of esophageal, double contrast, gastric duodenum, small intestine, double contrast colon graphs, urological radiological examinations, HSG, as well as ERCP under scopic control can be performed under fluoroscopy.

Our device: Siemens Iconos R-200 digital fluoroscopy device.

Digital mammography reviews

A new technology in Breast Imaging, Digital Mammography and tomosynthesis have now become the main diagnostic method for diagnosing breast diseases and screening for breast cancer. Unlike conventional mammography, images are obtained digitally using electronic sensors. These images are then examined on special high-resolution monitors. Postprocessing operations such as magnification, measurement, and contrast adjustment can be performed without depending on the dose of the X-ray used.

The advantages of digital mammography are listed as follows:

The review period is short. Images can be viewed from the screen within 1 minute of shooting. Be informed about the adequacy of images.

Radiation dose is lower than conventional mammography.

Contrast resolution is higher than normal mammography. Microcalcification and small lesions can be more easily distinguished. Lesions can be evaluated in 3 dimensions. This facilitates the evaluation of especially dense and fibrocystic breast tissue. Breast cancer and detected lesions undergo a more detailed screening.

Stereotactic biopsy and marking procedures are performed under the guidance of mammography. Vacuum biopsy is usually used in the presence of microcalcification, which is not seen on ultrasound and more tissue is requested for diagnosis. More tissue can be removed in less time, which greatly increases the chance of correct diagnosis. The complication rate is very low because the bleeding that can occur is removed by vacuum.

Again, before the operation, the lesion is marked with a wire and the entire lesion is removed.

Images are archived digitally and can be transferred digitally.

Ultrasonography and Doppler ultrasonography reviews

Advanced ultrasonography devices have high resolution, image quality excellence provides diagnostic convenience. With our renewed ultrasonography devices, we serve in specially prepared rooms. Interventional methods are applied in our department accompanied by all ultrasonographic examinations and ultrasonography.

Our devices:

4 Siemens Acuson Antares ultrasonography and Doppler ultrasonography devices.

Siemens X-300 – Sonocyte-Titan Portable ultrasonography + Doppler ultrasonography device.

Computed Tomography Investigations

In our current CT system, large areas of the body with very thin sections can be examined in a very short time at a much higher resolution, so that all thoracic and abdominal examinations can be completed in a single breath hold time.

Coronary angiography with our device can be performed without any interference, without a catheter and only for a period of breath retention. In addition, this process, which can enter even the thinnest veins, ends without blood and in the blink of an eye. By screening for coronary artery disease, it allows you to take precautions by showing the future danger from today to those who believe that there is no heart disease, who appear to be in good health, or live without knowing tomorrow, even though they are at risk for coronary artery disease.

Now, imaging the best coronary and vascular structures, evaluating heart anatomy and function, and visualizing heart muscle are among the options we can perform. Apart from cardiac angiography, all angiographic procedures are similarly performed in a single breath holding period, giving contrast media from the vein in a single injection without any interference. In this way, the exact diagnosis of many diseases such as aneurysms, vascular stenosis, obstruction and clot removal can be made quickly and easily, and all vessels can be displayed in 3-D in a fairly short time. It is an easier and faster method, and the necessity of hospitalization after examination disappears.

The entire lung can be scanned with 0.6 mm thin sections in as little as 5-6 seconds. In this way, early diagnosis of lung diseases and lung cancer is possible. Nodules can be easily detected using a specially developed computer tomography audits related to the lungs, the lungs may be lung cancer nodules likely related to visualization and evaluation of cancer screening programs by providing for this purpose the use of very low dose radiation can be applied in healthy individuals.

3-D reconstruction and High Technology Review, which can be extremely distressing for patients, bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, cystoscopy, routine endoscopic examinations, such as no contact is carried out within the scope of the review in a virtual environment, and 3-dimensional image is displayed as.

In summary,

Faster shots, higher resolution and 3D imaging,

High quality CT angiography (cerebral, carotid, aortography, peripheral angiography),

Coronary CT angiography and calcium scoring,

Evaluation before organ transplantation, volumetry,

Ability to scan large body areas in a short time,

Search for etiology in patients who are admitted to the emergency department due to chest pain (aortic dissection, pulmonary embolism, etc.s. early life),

Procedures such as CT-colonography and CT-Bronchography.

Magnetic resonance imaging ( MRI )

Our MRI system has been renewed with 1.5 Tesla SIEMENS Avanto MRI device, which includes the latest technological developments.

This device is equipped with sufficient and special coils and programs for each region;

Brain, eye, inner ear and ear structures, pituitary, jaw joint, brain artery and balls, such as the head Area Studies,

Neck structure, Girts, pharynx, salivary glands, tongue and surrounding structures,

Lungs, heart and major vessels associated with the heart,

Intra-abdominal organs, lower abdomen,

Spine pathologies of the neck, back and waist area,

As well as standard reviews such as the evaluation of limbs and joints such as shoulder, arm, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, thigh, knee, leg, ankle and foot:

Whole body angiography

MR spectroscopy,

Cranial and abdominal diffusion imaging,

Perfusion MRI,

MRCP, MR pyelography and MR myelography.

CSF current operation,

Kinematic investigations,

Whole body metastasis screening

Dynamic tissue (liver, breast, tumor ) MRI examinations,

Regional MRI angiographic examinations,

” MRI-guided breast biopsy ” procedures can be performed.

“MRI-guided breast biopsy is a method used to diagnose lesions that cannot be displayed in mammography and ultrasound”and can be displayed in MRI. For this group of patients, the correct diagnosis is made by performing a biopsy accompanied by an MRI instead of unnecessary frequent checks or surgery, and the correct treatment can be planned.
